Existing Vape Products May Not Have To Endure Astronomical Cost To Go Through FDA Approval Process
In April of 2014, the FDA proposed regulations that would force anyone in the vaping industry to go through an economically crippling approval process before bringing products to market. This would eliminate 99 percent of the products you currently see on the market.
Healthnewsdigest.com reported that Greg Conley “praised House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Related Agencies for its approval of a spending bill that would prevent the FDA from regulating the vast majority of vapor products out of existence.”
This Bill, sponsored by Republican Rep. Robert Aderholt, would eliminate the costly pre-market evaluation of vaping products.
Mr. Conley reminds us “This proposal does not remove the FDA’s ability to regulate vapor products. The FDA will still have the full authority to make science-based regulatory decisions on the manufacturing, marketing and sale of these products.”
