Rep. Tom Cole Introduces Bill HR 2058 and Industry Shows Strong Support

This bill would amend the Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act to change the grandfather date for “deemed tobacco products.” This change would allow for all vapor products currently on the market to remain on the market without being subject to the burdensome (read: prohibitive) pre-market FDA approval application process. The previously proposed date was 2007.

CASAA issued a call to action to write your local Rep in support of the bill. The advocacy group also encourage people outside of Representative Cole’s district to send him a letter of support. Vape shops are jumping on board as well. Mountain Oak even printed out a letter. All you had to do was stop into their shop to sign a copy and they would mail it for you.
